Santa Barbara Condors Ultimate

Condors

The Santa Barbara Condors ultimate frisbee team first took the field in 1974. They didn't know they were the Condors yet, but with the leadership of Tom Kennedy (TK) by 1976 they were playing games against opponents. And in 1977 they became the first National Champions in the sport. Then they repeated as #1 in 1978 and again in 1981. The Santa Barbara Condors are the longest running club team with the same name and background in the world... and their dedication and quality of play continues to this day. The 1998 and 1999 teams were 2nd in the nation (the 1999 team was 3rd in the world). In 2000 and 2001 the Condors were National Champions. The Condors became Club World Champions in 2002. The 2003 team was 2nd in north america, and in 2004 the Condors represented the US at the World Championships and won the silver medal.
