Favorite Type of Play:
A. Offensive receiver simply because you're the one who is scoring the goals.
B. Zone defense chaser/point because you're constantly near the disc, giving you numerous opportunities to force a turnover.

Reason for playing ultimate:
Because I love the sport, I love the people I play with, I love the competition, and I love that it keeps me focused on training.

When and where started playing ultimate:
Freshman year at RPI I came out for a few practices. The team was pretty inexperienced, and totally lacked athletes. I had just finished high school football, and so I was looking for a collegiate sport that would allow me time to focus on my studies. This seemed perfect, except that I thought the whole no-contact thing was a little lame at the time.

Lessons learned playing ultimate:
How to interact with others socially; how to compete with integrity and intensity at the same time; how athletic I could be; how unique each of my teammates are; how to manage a busy professional, social, spiritual & physical/training life. I've also learned how important proper concentration is to individual athletic performance, and how important team unity is to team performance.

Personal comment:
I thank God daily for the friends i've met through this team, for the social & physical development I've experienced while training with this team, and for the awesome experiences (victories and otherwise) I've had with this team. I truly hope that most of us are still playing and hanging out together wherever we are 10 years from now.
