Favorite Type of Play:
I like it all, but I mostly play defense.

Reason for playing ultimate:
I used to play ultimate because I loved the sport. Now playing the game is secondary to being part of this team. The only reason I still play is to be a part of the Condors.

When and where started playing ultimate:
I started playing intramural ultimate my first year at UCSC in 1989. I played on a team with a bunch of old timers including Skippy Jammer. The next three years I played on the UCSC men's team where our practices usually consisted of playing barefoot coed hotbox for an hour and then scrimmaging for an hour. In 1993 we made it to Nationals where we lost to the Black Tide in the semis. Two years later I started grad school at UCSB and started playing w/ the Black Tide.

Lessons learned playing ultimate:
Pain is weakness leaving the body.

Personal comment:
Ping Pong is a sport too.
